When Swiss rapper Stress took the stage for his MTV Unplugged session, Roger Staub (Co-Founder and Creative Director of LoF*) oversaw the creative direction for this special project. With a clear focus on staging and dramaturgy, Staub orchestrated a concert in which music and visuals were meticulously synchronized.

A Stage with Atmosphere
The backdrop for the concert was Zurich’s Schiffbau, a venue with a distinctly theatrical character—an ideal fit for the intimacy of an MTV Unplugged show. The stage was centrally located and flanked by two grandstands, creating a unique closeness between the audience and the performers. Stress was accompanied by a classical orchestra, his nine-piece band, and a number of guest artists, making the concert an extraordinary experience.

Roger Staub: Creative Vision and Overall Supervision
For several months, Roger Staub worked on the creative realization of this two-hour concert. As Creative Director, he was responsible for everything from stage and lighting design to the show’s overall dramaturgical direction. For Staub, who designs experiences for both artists and brands, the line between stage production and brand experience is fluid: “How an artist presents themselves is ultimately a form of communication—just like a brand.”

The concept combined the intimacy of an Unplugged performance with the energy of a theatrical production—resulting in a live experience that lingers in the memory.
